For people who want the parts coordinated.

The firm works with capable people within 10 years of making work optional, whether planning individually or with a partner.

You set the priorities and participate in major planning decisions. Doug explains the tradeoffs, recommends a course, and manages ongoing investment implementation within the strategy you agree on.

This relationship is not designed as an investment-only service or a source of stock picks. It is ongoing retirement planning connected to investment management.

    Decisions that affect one another.

Retirement income planning starts with after-tax spending, then coordinates income sources and account withdrawals.

Withdrawal planning considers which accounts to use, in what order, and how larger expenses fit.

Social Security planning weighs claiming choices in the context of the household plan.

Tax planning models alternatives, tax-efficient placement, and withdrawal timing. Independent tax professionals determine transaction treatment and give tax advice; Financial Thinking Partner does not prepare returns or provide accounting or legal services.

Clear marginal fees for an ongoing relationship.

The annual advisory fee is 1.15% on the first $500,000 of billable assets, 0.80% on the next $2.5 million, 0.50% on the next $5 million, and 0.15% above $8 million. Each rate applies only within its tier. Fees are payable quarterly in arrears. The firm maintains a minimum account size of $250,000, which may be waived or reduced at the firm’s discretion.
